Kumbhalgarh Trip

Kumbhalgarh Trip

They say history is the greatest teacher, but for a designer, it is also the greatest muse. We often think of design as something we create on high-end computers, manipulating pixels and vectors. But have you ever stood before the massive ramparts of Kumbhalgarh and traced the rough texture of centuries-old stone? It changes your perspective on stability and scale. Recently, the students of Animentor Academy packed their bags not just for a getaway, but for a lesson in architectural brilliance.

Walking through those ancient corridors, we realized that the principles of interior design and structure haven’t changed—only the tools have. The way the fort commands the landscape is a masterclass in visual dominance and aesthetics. For our graphic design and animation students, the play of light and shadow on the fort walls was better than any rendering software.

The way I see it, nature and history are the original designers. We are just trying to copy their homework. A trip like this reminds us that true inspiration doesn’t come from a Wi-Fi signal, but from the world outside.
